The vernissage of Ada Pasta’s personal exhibition “… My sea” will take place at the “Arte Borgo” gallery in Rome, Italy, on September 19, 2020, at 6.00 pm.

For many centuries, the sea element has attracted artists from every country and was also the main theme of painting of the golden age in Holland. Even contemporary painters are not indifferent to the marine theme.

But all have limited themselves to describing the sea seen from our point of view, on the surface.

Ada Pasta’s appeal to observe and understand the marine world, with its abysses and the incredible creatures that inhabit it, is not accidental.

The global environmental problems caused by human activities are inflicting a severe blow to the life of the fauna and flora in almost all the seas of the planet, also because pollution does not recognize the virtual borders invented by man to divide.

According to scientists’ predictions, at the current rate, marine life is in danger of coming to the brink of extinction.

Ada Pasta’s paintings allow you to immerse yourself in the most unknown depth of the aquatic world to admire its beauty. In the depths of the sea, where the sunlight hardly penetrates, among the flowered enclosures and luxuriant groves of algae, many mysteries are hidden.

The artist’s reference to the theme of the underwater world, with its abysses and the most unusual creatures, clearly shows us what we human beings, with our selfish carelessness, in the end risk losing for ever.

Yet, if we really wanted to rely on our selfish interests, we should only remember that the survival of mankind depends on the well-being of the sea and its inhabitants.

This message, in the most positive form, also reaches us thanks to the wonderful images painted by the artist Ada Pasta, inviting us to hold on to one of the most precious things that Nature has made available to us with the assumption that we know how to treat it with respect.
